WSHA is a non-commercial public radio station, licensed to Shaw University in Raleigh NC. WSHA serves the Triangle and beyond.

  A mixture of mainstream and contemporary Jazz dominates the WSHA format. Special programming emphasis is placed on Blues and Gospel, Reggae, African and Latin American Music.
 
WSHA is certified by the Corporation for Public Broadcasting (CPB), national network affiliations that include the National Public Radio (NPR) and Bloomberg.

Robert Trowers

Mr. Trowers is a veteran trombonist whose 23 years in music has seen him performing with such artists as Lionel Hampton, The Count Basie Orchestra, Randy Weston, The Lincoln Center Jazz Orchestra directed by Wynton Marsalis, The Carnegie Hall Jazz Orchestra directed by Jon Faddis, The Chico O'Farrill Afro - Cuban Orchestra, and numerous others.

Moment's Notice: All Styles of Jazz for All Styles of People

Since 1989, Moment's Notice has been performing for private parties, nightclubs, restaurants, civic events and festivals throughout eastern North Carolina.  Their repertoire of standard and contemporary jazz includes swing, fusion, bebop, blues, Latin and original compositions.  Hot instrumental leads, smooth vocals and slick improvisations highlight each performance.

Moment's Notice is David Bentlage-Drums; Ernie Donadelle Basses;  Bobby Moody-Saxophones & Vocals; Lou Padro-Guitars; and Tony Thompson on Keyboards.  Individually, they have dedicated years to honing their creative talents in every conceivable musical genre.  As a group, they merge their diverse backgrounds into a collective force which has become one of the area's most exciting and versatile jazz ensembles.
