Weddings, Worship and a Whole Lot More...
Guest Entrance from Baby Grand
Sure, we are the special, spiritual place to have a most elegant wedding, but did you know we also host a variety of special events including concerts, banquets, author appearances, guest lectures, open mic sessions, classes, book clubs and art exhibits? We are always open to both public as well as private events.
The Sanctuary doubles as a classy Performance Hall with some of the best natural acoustics of any venue in the Triangle. Unlike most venues in the area, the Long View Center emphasizes the "Listening Room" atmosphere geared toward a more mature audience where there is no smoking and the music is never over-produced or too loud. Performances of all kinds can be found here: music, art, comedy, lectures, story telling, or political vigils.
Conference Rooms are available to any organization, no matter how large
or small, public or private. Got a "Virtual Business" but lack a
"Bricks and Mortar" space to host a luncheon, Power Point presentation,
or lecture? No problem! Wi-Fi internet access is available
throughout the building; just bring your laptop computer. Because of
our in the Heart-of-Raleigh downtown location, out-of-town visitors can
easily conduct meetings or classes here just a short walk from hotels,
restaurants or other places of business.
Our second story Spiritual Room, filled with beautiful stained glass,
is home to a number of small classes: Raleigh Meditation Group;
EnlighenNext Raleigh; Shiva Dancing School of Yoga and more to come.
If you are interested in getting involved with one of these groups,
check our Events Calendar for contact information and meeting dates.

drop in for the Monday-Friday Meditation from 12:15-12:45 hosted by
Unity Church of the Triangle. This is a wonderful opportunity to
decompress from work/home stressors and rest your mind. The Hargett
Street doors are open and no experience necessary.
The
lower level 1880 Hall is the site of a vast array of activity. We
participate in the First Friday Art Walk, a staple of the Moore Square
arts scene for years. Soon, we will host a weekly open mic session to
local musicians. The 1880 is also one of our banquet facilities that
is available for wedding receptions, retirement parties, holiday
gatherings, anniversary celebrations, concerts, dances, or any other
event you can dream up.
