Originally built in 1856, the Long View Center's "sanctuary," now called Freedoms Hall, accommodates up to 450 guests or as few as twenty five in an elegant, non-denominational tabernacle. Our spacious, separated dressing rooms provide perfect retreats for the Guests of Honor, and our majestic entry hall provides each visitor with the feeling they have stepped into a timeless realm.

The architectural beauty and historical significance of the Long View Center makes it the ideal location for your special event.  This space includes a professional-quality sound system, split-level seating for VIPs, a half-moon raised stage with wrap-around seating, 64 exquisite stained-glass windows, and the private, backstage Green Room where keynote speakers, panel members, and wedding participants can wait in luxury and comfort before making their entrance.

Freedoms Hall is the largest of our halls and serves as a wedding sanctuary, concert hall, and auditorium with some of the best natural acoustics of any venue in the Triangle.

Non-denominational weddings are the biggest part of our event business at Long View Center.  Clients love using our sanctuary because we are not governed by the rules of formal churches: you can choose any or all of your own vendors including minister, musicians, florists, etc.  Please refer to the Weddings Page for more information and resources.

From the BalconyFrom the BalconyUnlike most concert venues in the area, the Long View Center emphasizes the “Listening Room” atmosphere geared toward a more mature audience where there is no smoking and the music is never over-produced or too loud.

This space is also highly sought after by corporations seeking a classy space for Key Note Speakers.  Just behind the stage is a very private dressing room reserved for our VIPs.
