Often described by visitors as "a little bit of SoHo in downtown Raleigh," the 1880 Hall provides a comfortable and spacious location to host your wedding reception/rehearsal dinner/shower; corporate meeting; private dinner party or any other group affair that requires event planners to reserve a memorable, easily-accessible location.

The 1880 Hall is the most recently-renovated space at the Long View Center. Exposed brick walls adorned with a crop of rotating art work immediately set the tone for hosting a unique event.

A small, raised wood stage is perfect for spotlighting the recently-wed couple during their reception; for intimate concerts and/or performances; and ideal for corporate presentations of all kinds.
The Grand EntranceThe Hall is available for your function in four-hour to eight-hour increments, depending on the type of event. Due to the formality of the event, those booking Wedding Receptions are allowed 3 hours of pre-event access for their caterers, 4 hours of actual event time, and 1 hour for caterer clean up totaling 8 hours. Others may choose a minimum of 4 hours for their event with the option to purchase additional hours as needed.
An attached catering kitchen is available to all who rent the 1880 Hall whether it be a formal, catered wedding reception or an informal luncheon to accommodate an all-day PowerPoint presentation. Those desiring a catered event must, for liability reasons, choose from our carefully screened list of caterers.
Long View Center provides its guests with security, cleaning services, the use of our tables and chairs (click here for a downloadable floor plan and suggested layout options) , and the use of our catering kitchen by our contracted caterers only.
Lower-level entrance from Hargett St/Moore Square
The 1880 Hall's proximity to Hargett Street and Moore Square
combined with it's own entrance separate from the rest of the Center,
make it an ideal space for almost any event imaginable.
